About

Maria Pozzi is currently a Post-Doc in Robotics and Automation at the University of Siena, Italy and at the Department of Advanced Robotics (ADVR) of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genoa, Italy. She was awarded with the B.S. degree in Computer and Information Engineering cum laude in October 2013 from the University of Siena, with the M.S. degree in Computer and Automation Engineering cum laude in September 2015 from the University of Siena, and with the Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Siena in April 2019 with a thesis entitled "Grasping and Manipulation with Soft Hands". She carries on her research under the supervision of Prof. Domenico Prattichizzo (UNISI) and Professor Monica Malvezzi (UNISI). She is interested in the study of the principles and mechanisms that regulate human and robotic grasping, underactuated and compliant robotic hands and haptics mediated human-robot collaboration.
